Social Media Marketing
BCOMM worked with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's (SFPUC) Contractor Assistance Center (CAC)
to develop its first-ever marketing & creative services related pilot program; devoted to assisting local and small businesses with their marketing, branding, social media and website development projects.
Here’s a snapshot of our approach to some of the work we produced for three unique companies.
You Me & The Movement (YMM), a green-certified janitorial and construction cleanup LBE; Giron Construction, a construction and management and contracting business; and Effective Management Services (EMS), a firm that offers consulting and a suite of services for program construction management projects.
YOU, ME & THE MOVEMENT
You, Me & The Movement (YMM), wanted a logo that encompassed both the company’s mission to beautify San Francisco and its special connection to the Bayview-Hunters Point community.
We landed on a two-tone, abstract, text-based logo with connecting “M’s” to symbolize the company’s connection to community-driven initiatives.
We also produced letterhead, business cards, a marketing pamphlet and website for YMM.
Bruce Giron, the President/CEO of Giron Construction, is a retired Marine Colonel committed to empowering his employees as well as underserved San Francisco communities. One of Bruce's favorite quotes is: “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”-Chinese Proverb
We designed a logo that highlighted Bruce's connection to his team and community through an abstract text-based logo that represented the “G” in his name and the “C” with a dual meaning: “Construction" and “Community.”

EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
For Effective Management Services (EMS), a CM/PM firm, the brand positioning goal was to ensure potential clients understood that EMS was recognized as an important asset and integral teammate that could assist in delivering any successful construction project.
The cube made up by the initials of the company, was both a nod to the construction industry, and a playful way to incorporate the acronym "EMS" wanted to be known by. Our decision to subtly bold “Effective” and “Services" delivered a crispness and refinement to the logo that gave it an "institutional-like" feel.
