Partnerships

BCOMM partnered with Bedrock, Detroit’s leading real estate developer and the principal sponsor of AfroFuture Detroit, to deliver a milestone experience at Bedrock’s Douglass Site.
While it was the third time a world-class Afrobeats festival came to Detroit, it marked the first time AfroFuture brought its flagship festival from the continent to the United States.

Anchor 1

Our team negotiated the AfroFuture partnership on behalf of Bedrock and provided project management support across multiple teams, to deliver an unforgettable celebration of Afrobeats and culture in the Motor City. Working hand in hand with Bedrock, AfroFuture, Detroit-based festival producer Paxahau, and a host of valued  partners, we were proud to see the 2025 festival draw an estimated 20,000+ attendees from around the world.

A Cultural Milestone

AfroFuture Detroit was more than a festival, it was a cultural bridge. Blending Afrobeats and Amapiano with Detroit’s iconic Motown and Techno, the event celebrated the African diaspora’s creativity and legacy while honoring Detroit’s musical heritage. In addition to headline performances, the festival featured art installations, a cultural marketplace, and cuisine, art, and fashion that showcased Africa’s influence worldwide.

Global Rhythms, Detroit Energy

Davido brought unstoppable energy with Afrobeats anthems that had the crowd singing every word. Asake lit up the stage with high-octane hits, keeping thousands of fans on their feet. Kaytranada delivered a genre-bending set that fused electronic, R&B, and hip-hop, proving why he’s one of today’s most versatile artists. Ludmilla infused the Motor City with Brazilian flair, adding an international edge to the lineup. Detroit’s own Tee Grizzley performed with hometown pride, reminding the audience of the powerful role local voices play on the global stage. And Waka Flocka Flame cranked up the hype with his signature crunk and trap anthems, sparking one of the weekend’s most electrifying moments.

Together with many other incredible performers, AfroFuture 2025 created an atmosphere that was electric, diverse, and unifying—celebrating Afrobeats, Amapiano, hip-hop, and global sounds while connecting thousands of fans from around the world.

Mapping the AfroFuture Experience

Our team worked closely with AfroFuture and production partners to create a layout that was both functional and visually engaging, ensuring thousands of attendees could easily navigate the space. From stage placement to vendor areas, VIP lounges, and wellness zones, every detail was mapped with the fan experience in mind.
